직장인들은 일요일 하루만큼은 늦잠을 자는 사람들이 많다.

"나는 일요일에 주로 늦잠을 잔다. " 는 영어로 "I usually sleep in on Sunday." 라고 한다.

'sleep in' 은 '늦잠 자다 (=sleep until late)' 는 뜻으로 가령, "I'm busy during most of the weekdays, so I usually sleep in on Sunday." 하면 "나는 주중에 대개 바빠 일요일에는 주로 늦잠을 잔다. " 가 되며, "I usually sleep in on Sunday and skip breakfast." 하면 "나는 일요일 아침에 주로 늦잠을 자며 아침을 거른다. " 는 뜻이 된다.

"I usually sleep in on Sunday." 와 비슷한 표현에 "I usually sleep until late on Sunday." "I'm usually a late riser on Sunday." "I usually wake up late on Sunday." 등이 있다.

A:I'm going to take a trip to the coast this Sunday. Want to come with me?

B:That would be great. Can you pick me up?

A:Sure. I'll be at your house no later than seven in the morning.
